Canned 10/10/22
This one was so weird that I just couldn’t pass it up. Pumpkin? Sure. Chai tea? Probably. All of that in an IPA, with additional spices? What the hell?? I’m somewhat scared, but mostly excited to see how much of a monstrosity this thing is. Let’s crack it open and find out
Pours a hazy brownish orange with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
Oh man, those Sabro hops really shine through more than expected in the nose, and it doesn’t smell like a disaster, actually quite nice. I’m picking up aromas of cardamom, woody hops, baked pumpkin, coconut, doughy malt, vanilla, and light orange peel
It’s certainly more abrasive in taste, but it integrates pretty nice and I don’t dislike as much as I expected to. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting chai tea, orange zest, baked pumpkin, vanilla, bready malt, toasted coconut, and light ginger. The swallow brings notes of coconut, woody hops, pumpkin meat, ginger, nutmeg, bready malt, light clove, and grass
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth yet spicy beer. Finishes neutral and lightly bitter
Against all odds, this is actually quite good. Weird for sure, but well done for what it is

Can to snifter.
LOOK: Hazy muted yellow, healthy off white head.
AROMA: Apple Cider, Ginger, Pumpkin, Allspice, Citrus (in that order).
TASTE: White wine and Pumpkin. Citrus. Spice and general Veggie in finish.
FEEL: light to medium body, lively, almost champagne like.
Interesting. First thought was that this combo would be terrible, but while there is some clashes, the flavors meld together a little better than I expected.

Pours a medium straw color, ample foamy head. Aroma: I get citrusy hops and clove. Very unique flavor - I get the pumpkin, love the chai tea addition, clove is more noticeable than the cinnamon, but both are there and not overwhelming. Lactose and pumpkin create a creamy texture. Carbonation is appropriate. Overall a very unique ipa, glad I tried it.
