Barrel Aged Morning Bean is a 11.9% blend of Imperial Milk Porters aged in Old Fitzgerald, Willett, and 17-year Wild Turkey bourbon barrels for an average of 15 months. We then conditioned this decadent beer on ton of hand-cut and scraped Madagascar vanilla beans and @rookcoffee that complement the notes of brown sugar and vanilla from barrel aging to create a bold, flavorful porter.

Kentucky bourbon meets Rook coffee and the familiar milk porter that Kane Brewing builds many of their darker beers around.
Very dark brown and easily construed as stout, Bourbon Barrel Aged Morning Bean rises with a dense creme of froth and a luscious scent of chocolate, sweet cream, coffee, and soothing caramelized whisky. Sweetness greets the tongue with a rich maltiness of chocolate, vanilla cream, cappuccino, caramel and honey. As a savory roundness of roast rises it brings a full roasted coffee character, subtle campfire char and a deep toasty taste. Low in hops, the balance comes from bourbon spice and a light oak tannin.
But make no mistake, this is a session of tiramisu, cappuccino and chocolate martini manifest in dark ale form.

Pours very dark and thick, aggressive pour yields minimal head. Huge coffee aroma mixes with sweet vanilla, chocolate and bourbon barrel. Flavor is: lots of coffee, nice bourbon barrel flavor, sweet, creamy vanilla, barrel flavor mixes in throughout. Pretty viscous and flat, no carbonation. Overall a delicious beer.
