2021 Vintage
This 15.6% blend of massive barrel-aged imperial stouts first spent 21 months in Willet Bourbon and Rye Barrels. This initial extended aging allowed seasonal temperature fluctuations in the barrels to draw bold flavors from the oak that carries notes of vanilla and coconut.
It was then racked into Alba Syrah Red Wine Barrels for 11 months, introducing notes of dark fruit, raspberry, and cherries.
Finally, this blend went into Chocolate Liqueur casks to finish for an additional four months before extended cold conditioning prior to release.

Pours thick and net black, minimal head. Very complex aromas: I get red raspberry, loads of dark chocolate, boozy bourbon barrel, has a floral component to it. Flavor is dense dark chocolate, sweet chocolate-covered raspberries, chocolate cherry cordials, light vanilla with a mild espresso finish. Thick and viscous, light carbonation. Overall a delicious and decadent ANTEAD variant, amazing.
