This summer’s release is brewed with our traditional pilsner, rice, and is hopped on the hot side with a blend of Waimea and Motueka. We then dry-hopped Summer Share with Citra, Waimea, and Motueka for a more intense tropical profile.

Kane Brewing Co. "Summer Share"
16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 05/16/25" and sampled on 07/19/25
$5 @ Cherry Hill Wine, Liquor & Beer, Cherry Hill, NJ

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a cloudy golden body with visible particulate in suspension. The head is a short cap of white. The aroma is pretty bright with tropical fruits and resin. Give me a second here... notes of apricot, red berry, gooseberry, tangerine, pink grapefruit, and white grape. Is all of that found in the taste? Let's find out. The malt is fairly basic. and I'm not finding any oats. Hmmm? 2-row and some wheat perhaps? The hops are fruity but also grassy, "dank", and softly piney. It finishes dry with a lot of lingering fruit, some earthiness, grassiness, a bit of resinous pine, and a hint of peppery spiciness. Back to the fruitiness let me go along and check off what I found in the nose: apricot, red berry, tangerine, and some grapefruit. I'm not finding the gooseberry or white grape at this point. Ahh, sorry, there is some gooseberry. There's more though with some peach/nectarine and a bit of pineapple that I'm surprised I'm not getting in the aroma. The herbal, dank, and piney side has really come out now as well but I don't know if that's because it's warmed or just because my nose has gotten used to all the fruit. It's coming out more in the taste as well. I like it: "dank" and fruity! In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp and smooth. The moderate carbonation explains the lack of initial head, and its retention. Not a whole lot of lacing is left behind but I wonder how "beer clean" my glass is at this point. This is a great beer that offers a whole lot of character and seemingly changes a bit as you work through it.

Can to snifter.

LOOK: clear yellow, medium white head, good retention, legs.
AROMA: ash, rice, black pepper, grass, small touch of citrus.
TASTE: melon, black pepper, finish is a little off putting and grows: baking soda, sour apple, leaves.
FEEL: light body, very lively carbonation, easy drinking, acidic finish.

A little disappointing for Kane, but certainly not bad. Plus the can is very cool.
