Blend 7 is a 16.0% blend of Bourbon, Rye, and Cognac barrel-aged barleywines, finished in a Rum barrel.
Blend 7 started several years ago with a few different small-batch barleywines that we aged individually in Bourbon, Rye, and Cognac barrels for 18 months. A handful of those barrels were then blended in stainless and then racked for another 18 months into a South African Rum barrel. Following a period of cold conditioning in stainless for two months, Blend 7 was ready to bottle and release.
