Traded for this last night as I hadn't had anything from Kane in quite some time. I love the Head High and Overhead as they're some of the best beers to come out of Jersey but like the previous reviewer, I thought that this was a bit disappointing. Sure, this brew's a beast but it came across as too heavy from start to finish. Heck, it even *felt* heavier in my glass than a typical offering!
The pour was this beer's best attribute, by far. Hazy, golden and topped off with plenty of head, that took a while to settle as the lacing left behind was deep, layered, and heavily spotted in between the rings. Candied sugar, dried citrus, syrup, and booze were in the muted nose as the taste weighed heavily toward the latter attributes that were present in the aroma. Not a lot of juice, sweetness, hops, yeast, bitterness, or carbonation on the palate as this was as bland an anniversary brew as any that I've ever had. Even the aftertaste left quite a bit to be desired as a hint of mango saved this from becoming ubiquitous.
Canned on 8/4, this was fine in terms of age as there wasn't anything to be seen in the liquid. However, the problem was the liquid itself as this just wasn't that memorable. If you want to drunk on Kane, by all means knock yourself out with this. These guys are capable of so much more and I hope that next year's iteration doesn't make the mistakes that this did...

Pours a hazy medium yellow, minimal head with lots of lacing. Aroma is slightly citrusy, guava, a little tropical; nothing very unique. Very muted aromas. Semi sweet, lots of flavors fighting for dominance with no winners. I get candied dried orange, dried mangoes, guava juice, light lemony citrus. Very light carbonation and a very heavy, dense beer; thick and syrupy. Overall I am not too psyched about this offering. Definitely a slow sipper, but not for me. Disappointed.
