Double cheeseburgers, double coverage, double bubble... simply put, if you have the chance to double something then just do it. Kane Brewing has such the opportunity with Galaxy hops and IPA.
Pouring a common milky gold, wrapped in a matte finish and a dense pastel sheen, Double Galaxy Party Wave floods the senses with the premiere Galaxy perfume of tropical fruit, citrus, vinous fruit, stone fruit and dank herbs. All drenched in a grains soaked sweetness of cereal, honey and shortcake, the early flavors are nearly vanilla like with malt.
As the malt sweetness settles down, the middle palate showcases the hops and its bright, vivid and branch-ripe character of passionfruit, papaya, white grape, nectarine, white grapefruit, lemon and orange peel. Aligning like a vinous, herbal and nearly tangy character, the taste shifts toward a spicy and vinous bitterness of green tea, verbena, sassafras, cedar and spruce.
Medium bodied and siding slightly with a fuller texture, the beer finishes with peppery grasses of lemon pepper, hemp and an herbal alcohol spice akin to gin with a smooth and sprucy linger of green bitterness.
