A Blend of Barrel-Aged Imperial Milk Stouts brewed with Maple Syrup and conditioned on Cacao and Coconut. This Imperial Stout was pulled from a blend of Blanton's, Weller, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, Heaven Hill and Wild Turkey Russel's Reserve bourbon barrels. We conditioned the blend on cacao nibs from both Haiti and Ghana along with one of our highest dosings of both toasted and untoasted coconut. 4749 pours chocolatey black with a coffee tan foam, intense aromatics of mounds bars, cinnamon toasted coconut, vanilla and bourbon. The fresh husked coconut and crispy brownie edges dominate this beer's flavor profile.

bottle to snifter.
look: thick dark black, no head
aroma: maple, bourbon, brown sugar:
taste: wood, maple, hot cocoa, marshmallow.....a touch too sweet, but other factors keep this very drinkable.
feel: silky smooth, flat, 85% full body.
oa: Kane is truly a master of aging malty beers. I was thinking , before opening, that this would be thin and non-complex due to the lighter milk stouts advertised. but this is complex and layered and very smooth. Great job on this one Kane.

Heading into their thirteenth year, Kane is pulling all the stops in stout making. An imperial milk stout brewed with maple syrup, coconut and cocoa, coffee, vanilla and cinnamon, and then aged twice in the choicest bourbon barrel is a painstaking way to make beer. But its fitting for such celebration.
Sweeter malt sensation strike first as the pour delivers a sultry scent that hovers proudly over a dark, near onyx black and a dainty mocha whipped foam. Fresh baked brownies, dark roast coffee, savory maple, and nuanced vanilla, coconut and toasted oak aromas bring about that classic bourbon spice. Decadently sweet in taste, its a chocolaty medley of vanilla cream, dark chocolate and a nearly fudge-like consistency that sells desert-like effects.
As the lavish stout pours over the middle palate, its sticky-sweet chocolate, caramel, butter pecan, peanut brittle and candied coconut flavors frame a taste directed toward the sweet tooth. Bold espresso roast rises to balance with its own savory earthiness, but then soothed with vanilla, honey and caramel spice. Low on bitterness, the late taste is long, fat with malt and basques in nearly port-like oxidation.
Full bodied, chewy and pleasantly oily, the dense elixir is a low and sipping event that easily replaces dessert for a taste that acts all grown up.

Pours very dark with minimal head. Aroma is fairly light, I get faint chocolate and light toasted coconut. Really tasty - loads of milk chocolate and toasted coconut with a very long milk chocolate finish. Light carbonation but creamy texture. I would have expected a thicker texture. Still really good. Overall, a delicious beer, drinkks like chocolate milk. Delicious.
