Side by Side comparison of 2024 Vanilla BBA Stouts to celebrate the new year. Bottles to snifters.
BCBS-Vanilla Rye was a touch better than ANTEAD-Vanilla, but both were a slight disappointment. Guessing they both need to sit a bit. The BCBS definitely seemed hot and would benefit from age, but the ANTEAD lacked a touch in all 3 mouthfeel, aroma, taste from what I've come to expect. Still both were awesome, but several past variants of each of these, including both bases have been some of my favorite beers ever, so the expectation is about as high as it can get.
