Head High Batch 6,000 is a 6.6% IPA brewed to celebrate the 6,000th Batch of our New Jersey Coast classic IPA, Head High. Head High Batch 6,000 is brewed with a pilsner base, rye and malted oats that lend a softer haze and a slightly fuller, sweeter profile to the final beer. In the Whirlpool, we used Citra, Centennial, and Simcoe HyperBoost. This blend of hops creates a firm, structured, and citrus-saturated bitterness. It was then dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Cascade, Centennial and Chinook Cryo, along with Centennial and Chinook hop oils. Head High Batch 6,000 pushes familiar notes of grapefruit up front, followed by dank resin and tropical fruit flavors. It finishes with a clean, refreshing bitterness that pulls you in for another sip.

Pale orange to almost a milked orange color. Semi-thick white head. Superb lacing. Nose is grapefruit and tangerine. Taste is light citrus. Mild bitterness.

Making six thousand different batches of beer is certainly worthy of celebration. Kane builds such a momentous ale around the hops of Citra, Centennial and Simcoe.

Pouring with a heavy and opaque haze, Head High Batch 6,000 patiently releases a creamy tarnish froth and a radiant scent of citrus and tropical fruit with subtleties of vegetal spice, grain sweetness and peppery herb. Creamy sweetness latches onto the tongue with the roundness of poundcake, honey and cereal while the hops deliver a ripe tangerine, red grapefruit, mango and apricot fruitiness. Herbal hops bring a spicy and green character to the finish, laced with pine, pepper and hemp.

Fuller, heavier and drinking more like an imperial hazy ale, this richer hazy IPA packs a flavor punch.
