I had high expectations considering their other beers.
The smell was overwhelmingly sour. The length is medium and ends in just Blood orange. It is quite an intense brew. It isn’t bitter, but it has a good amount of sourness and almost some bread yeastiness. It feels pretty dry. The color is like a nice pale orange. They crafted this well. I would say this is one of the best sour beers I have ever had. I would love to buy another.

Poured from a 500ml bottle a slightly hazy and pinkish orange with a 1-finger thick white head which fades to the rim and leaves spots of lace. Aroma of citrus, yeast, grass/hay, and herbal. Tastes crisp and clean with a mild tartness and yeasty finish. Light body, fruity, refreshing. Understated faint zesty rind and pithy.

A: Pours a clear orangish amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate pinkish + honey colored highlights. The beer has a half finger tall fizzy foamy off-white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering about 90% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of brett-like funkiness over the top of light to moderate aromas of spicy/peppery yeast, blood orange citrus, grainy malts, and earthy hops.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of cereal grain + pale malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by a light flavor of light fruit/pear, a light to moderate flavor of spicy/peppery yeast, and a moderate flavor of blood orange citrus. Finally, there are moderate to strong flavor of brett-like funkiness (barnyard + hay) along with a hint of earthy hops. There is a light lingering tartness but the dominant flavor is the funkiness.
M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of acidic prickliness with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: I might not call this one a sour farmhouse but rather a funky tart farmhouse if I was in charge of writing the description. Quite a bit of funkiness in this one but still relatively easy to drink if you enjoy a funky beer largely due to the lighter mouthfeel.

500 ml bottle, no dating on it that I was able to find. Served in a Prairie Teku, the beer pours a mostly clear amber/orange color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention is decent, and there isn't much lacing at all. Aroma is nice but subtle. The brew smells like blood orange, peppery spice, pear, funk and some earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma but stronger. It tastes like blood oranges, funk, bready malt, pear, earthiness and a bit of peppery spice. I wouldn't exactly call this sour, but it's a little tart. That's not a complaint, I liked the taste. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's easy to drink with a good amount of soft carbonation. I thought this was an enjoyable brew, worth a try if you haven't had it before.

i have wanted to like these guys so much more than i have in reality. their packaging is awesome, they have great sounding beers on paper, but the execution really hasnt been all the way there in my limited experience with their stuff. this is the first of theirs i have had on tap, and its interesting but not amazing. the beer is reddish orange and not as lively as i had hoped. the blood orange is obvious in the nose, but it smells really sweet, rising well above the sourness here, which is more one dimensional than some of their others in this range, but there still is some funk to it as well. the feel is too thick and still for what this is, and that hurts it right away. i get more blood orange flavor than it sounds like others have here, but its just way too sweet to be appealing after a few swigs. sweet and sour dont often work together that well, and they really dont here. i like the little bit of funk in here, but its too quickly gone with all the acid. not a bad beer, but like their others i have had, its a few twists and turns away from being as good as it should be. they are still new though, the quality will catch up to the ambition i have a feeling...

Walking of the funky side of fresh, the more rustic and perhaps historic flavor of saison comes to life under the careful watch of the Urban Family brewing team. Placing their own modern fruity twist on the style for an exotic tropical flare, they introduce passionfruit to the recipe to bring this spicy beer into balance.
Amber and orange, the rich appearance of the ale carries a moderate translucence with a boisterous lathery froth. Aromas of spiced funk fills the nose with earth, pepper, soil and saddle leather. Toasty with bread crust, steely caramel and light chestnut savory taste, the malt components show a slightly more robust nature than expected.
But as the yeast character builds, the malts regresses and allows the full brunt of fruit and spice to carry the middle palate. Apple, orange, lemon, pear and cranberry replaces the sweetness and then quickly balances with sharp peppercorn, weathered wood, wine acidity and a rootish spice in the cumin and curry worlds. Trending mildly sour, the finish highlights the tangy succulence of dried passionfruit with a bitter lime brightness.
Medium-light, bubbly and rapidly developing a dry finish, the carbonation pushes the beer off of the tongue and allows the ale to float effortlessly above the tongue for a weightless and effortless session that reverberates with cellar funk, aged cork and fragrance of the farm.
