Pours black with no head.

Smells of coffee. Tastes of coffee and then some chocolate. Sweet but not overly so.

Medium body and light carbonation. Less syrupy than most similar beers.

This is a very pleasant, relatively simple sipping beer. Think of it as a little brother to NS's Dynasty.

Canned 2/12/20, poured 3/28/20 into a tulip glass. black with very thin brown head and minimal lacing
On the nose, bitter dark chocolate, dank and earthy
Taste is bitter chocolate, with coffee overtones
Feel is smooth and nicely carbonated
If you like chocolate and coffee, you will love this one. It is a very fine sipping ale, especially good in winter or early spring and it can be drank right after that noon cup of coffee !

Pours a dark black with touches of brown.

Smells of sweet dark malt and vanilla.

Dark chocolate, creamy roasted malt, medium carbonation, light coffee finish.

Medium carbonation, higher than I expected.

All in all, this is a great beer for a cold day.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip canned on 2/12/2020. Pours a slick midnight black with a finger sticky light mocha head that leaves thin wisps of lace, with solid retention. 4.25

Smell is cocoa nibs, roasty coffee beans, vanilla, toffee, and hints of biscuit. 4.25

Taste follows cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, and a little caramel in the balanced finish. 4.25

Mouthfeel is a big creamy medium, gentle carbonation, not really dry for the style, and at 8% really easy drinking. 4.25

Overall this is a really balanced and tasty stout that will warm you up on a chilly evening. 4.25

A: Pours a near pitch black color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap

S: Roasted malt, coffee, dark and milk chocolate, and light caramel. Maybe a hint of vanilla as well

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate with a moderate bitterness. Goes into the caramel and sweeter chocolate before picking up some nutty notes and light char. Finishes with lingering light bitterness, dark chocolate, and coffee

M: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. On the smoother side

O: A solid stout that highlights both the coffee and chocolate. Quite easy to drink. Worth checking out

Poured on draft at the brewery.

Pours a deep dark brown color with a finger of khaki head. The head leaves some spots of lacing before settling into a halo.

The aroma brings notes of fudge, vanilla, dark roasted malts, and fresh coffee.

The flavor follows the nose: Lots of fudgey chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. There's even the absolute foggiest idea of roasted peanuts on the finish.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and smooth. Relatively dry. Alcohol is non-existent.

Overall, a great and flavorful stout. Highly drinkable.

Dark, chocolate color with a 4F head in a Tulip glass.
Good head retention. Chocolate, coffee, roasted malt aroma.
Unlike a lot of stouts, there is an equal balance of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt.

Smooth, malty MF.

Chocolate, coffee, roasted malt aroma ast.

Excellent stout. One better newer stouts I have tasted.

Near black color with a darker beige head. Surprisingly little lace with only a few, minute spots to show.

Very rich chocolate nose. More than hot cocoa. There's a faint touch of coffee.

The richness is true to the body as well. The taste starts like the smell with a strong semisweet chocolate. The swallow brings on the strongest coffee flavor I've experienced in a Stout. It leaves a long bitter aftertaste. A very powerful beer.

Bought a can at the Beer Shop in East Longmeadow, MA. The beer pours with a dark black appearance and a large brown head that dissipates. Some vanilla spiced cocoa was in the aromas. The taste was great; very smooth dark chocolate with hints of black coffee in the aftertaste. Light and creamy mouthfeel. Overall, great taste and mouthfeel.
