Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $3.49
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 15, 2021
Consumed: Jan. 1, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Beachwood; Canned on Dec. 2, 2021
Went to Windmill Farms for a sandwich and told myself I was going to casually look at beers and grab a few if it made sense. Well, I came back with a 4-pack of Barrel-Aged Ten Fidy and nine singles, including one of these. Bine & Vine’s website called it “Fantastic IPA has intense aromas of squeezed grapefruit and lemon zest, followed by hints of blackberry and mango with floral and resinous notes. Superb balance between mild malt sweetness and bitterness. If you like the classic west coast IPA style with notes of peach, passionfruit, and ripe citrus, you’ll find this beer…well, fantastic.” Mentioned hops were Mosaic and Idaho 7.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with six fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubbles coming up the sides of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled a nice mix of the Mosaic and Idaho 7. Also lemon, herbal, tea, black pepper, resin, pine, viney berry, menthol and floral. Better out of the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste followed the nose with more Idaho 7 than Mosaic. Also lemon, herbal, menthol, pine, tea, black pepper, dank resin, viney berry, peach, melon and bitter grapefruit peel. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was very good overall. Probably underrated it just a tad. (Overall - 4.00)

Golden, fluffy white cap, great head retention and clumpy lacing.
Nose is green. Green grass, hay, green onions, then heads in a fruity direction. Thinking juniper berries meets orange and a hint of bubblegum. Hard to nail down but I like it.
Flavor carries the grass and onions. Smooth weedy notes sashay in as well. Again the juniper is an undercurrent.
Mouthfeel is ok for style just a tad light in activity.
