16oz can. Date stamp on bottom reads 'FILLED 07-18-2023'.
Clear, straw colored body. Two fingers of longer lasting white head. Leaves behind some larger lacing spots.
Aroma of earthy funk, bubblegum and pencil eraser, and citrus (mostly lemon).
Taste is earthy grain malts, yeast flavors of bubblegum and pencil eraser, minor horse blanket funk, and lemon citrus. Quick fade in the aftertaste.
More than medium mouth feel. Dry and clean finish. Very good carbonation.
Definite malt addition from the spelt (which seems to emphasize a more earthy flavor). Good flavors from the yeast.

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely clear, light golden color wiht a massive and sticky white head that lingers. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of citrus upfront that is followed by floral and yeasty notes. There's lemon and orange citrus, some juicyfruit bubblegum. A light funk.
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange citrus upfront. There's then some rich bread malts that mix with some orange citrus and cloves. Evolves into a smooth, bready (apparently spelt), full yeasty flavor to clean off the finish. Mild funk with spelt, bubblegum and cloves Belgian spices lingering. Balanced with a mild sweetness.
Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation and yeast. Mild funk with spelt, bubblegum and cloves Belgian spices lingering.
Overall: Very nice dry-hopped Saison with hoppy citrus flavors balanced by a full, smooth breadiness and Belgian spices which is apparently from the spelt. A little spice from the rye, but not as much as I'd expect. Very flavorful, smooth, and clean.

Canned 7/18/23. I suspect I'm drinking a different brew than my fellow Poo-bahs reviewed in the 2021 release. And my easy guess is that the yeast got flaccid with age (all things do, you know, or, at least, I know that) ... or the more likely explanation is the yeast was not preserved properly and has a replacement.
Many of the other consensus descriptions from previous Poo-Bah reviews seem correct today: multi-fruity nose and attack of the palate, making this refreshing; a semi-drying finish (showing skill given the sweet start); medium mouthed and bubbled in a style that cleanses the palate better than most.
I just bought a 4-pack from The Beer Temple and poured Lucia into BT's tulip (and it is surprisingly clear for a saison.) While I will test Lucia against other foods, today's copy of Lucia was decent with snacks. As for Lucia emerging as a premier table ale, that will surprise me (because of the ample fruit); but I will approach food-friendliness and Lucia with an open mind.
I like Revolution lots but let others show their appreciation by drinking Rev's brews. While I have 20 Rev brews reviewed on BA, I as a Belgo-phile tend not to repeat that 20, mostly interpretations of the American-British tradition. Revolution's success in the Belgian tradition is thin (Bottom-up Wit and A Little Crazy are the only two successes, both above 620 ratings and the next Belgian-inspired is Lucia with only 11 ratings.) But Revolution deserves more support than I give it. They are masters of marketing, particularly for a third generation crafter (meaning they start in this Century before its teens.) Anyhow, Rev is a cool and sustainable crafter.
Finally, I did the research on Lucia (knowing nothing about her.) Lucy Gonzales Parsons, according to the Zinn Education Project, was all of today's movements combined 100 years ago: feminist, anti-segregationist, labor organizer and descended from two minorities. Lucia had it all going before any of this was acceptable even separately. I'm glad Rev immortalized her in this way. Did any of you history majors know about Lucy? I didn't.
8/27/23 Really enjoyed a second copy with pizza. I think I'll buy another 4-pack soon.

Cloudy yellow pour with a finger of white foam. Aromas of flowers, belgian yeast, robust grains (spelt I presume?) banana, citrus and black pepper. Taste adds a vibrant orange and lemon emphasis to the citrus, papaya, pear and defined spelt with grainy yeast star. Feel is light, airy, smooth, yet yeasty and has a robust finish for style.

Light yellow, clouded, nice lacing. Lemon verbena, grapefruit, yeasty biscuit and straw on the nose. Grapefruit and hay with a modest nuttiness from the spelt on the tongue. Dry finish with a bitter aftertaste.

Canned 5/20/21; drank 7/4/21 @ Hannah & Kenser's.
Cloudy, dull yellow/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big white head; frothy lace.
Banana, clove, orange pulp & lemon notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Lemon, banana & orange peel flavors up front; mild clove notes on the finish.
A nice, fruity saison; I'd have another!

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Solidarity. Anyway, this stuff pours a partly cloudy sunset brass topped by a finger or so of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild grapefruit zest, a tinge of almost pineapple-like quality, cracked wheat, and a vague, general earthy aroma. The taste follows through pretty strongly, the emphasis on the earthy, almost loamy flavors from the yeast. Unfortunately, the yeasty aspects mostly oppress the bright, fruity hops, though the clash near the finish shows that the decision isn't quite finalized as of yet. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, this one wasn't quite for me. The unique malts and yeast lend a distinctive character to the proceedings, but the flavors just didn't coalesce positively on my tongue.

16 ounce can into a tulip glass. Canned 5/20/21, had 6/15/21.
Pours a hazy, pale yellow, with a two and a half inch head of creamy foam with good retention and lots of foamy lacing. Aromas of citrus and tropical hops, yeast, malt, grain. Has an earthy aroma. Flavors of malt, citrus and tropical hops, grain, some yeast, very light spices. Tastes a little earthy and has a light hop bitterness. Smooth, a good light to medium body, well carbonated.
Really well constructed, the malts and yeasts are good and the hops work well. Worth a try at a good price point. Enjoyable.

This beer pours a cloudy, mostly opaque bright yellow color. A two finger at most, pillowy white foam head appears even with a pretty vigorous pour. Aroma has some light tropical notes - orange, peach and papaya layered over some malt and spelt notes. Just a hint of peppery yeast - but the hops are driving the aroma on this one, not the yeast.
The flavor profile on this one is much more yeast driven - There are notes of grain, wheat, spelt, and a mildly spicy, peppery yeast note. The provide a light dried, earthy bitterness to the profile that provide a hint of fruitiness on the back end. Light notes of peach, papaya, and orange peep through towards the back end. Its a very easy drinking saison and the flavors allow for it to be that kind of a beer - everything tends to be mellow and balanced. Feel is light to medium bodied. A bit drier on the finish. Prickly carbonation.
Overall its a nice saison - a perfect "everyday" saison if you enjoying drinking the style - and definitely worth trying.
