Palate Contaminants: red wine
Lots of fine white head, leaving good lacing. Moderate gold color. It lets in enough light for a shadow to be visible at about four inches of liquid.
Overall, it has a light funky smell. There's a bit of honey and a bit of corn and wheat light grain. The sweetness is more aligned with the natural grain sweetness than what we're used to with the concentrated industrial food stuff.
The taste has a lot of what's described in the smell, but the balance is different, There's a lot more corn, and then wheat. The funk is always there in the background. As it warms up, I have to say that there's a lot of apple flavor, and it's super dry. There's definitely a pleasant level of sweetness, but it's hidden behind the sour, yet the sour isn't actually particularly strong. Good, interesting, but not notably complex.
The carbonation is medium-fine. Alcohol is more in the background. Dry apple cider is the aftertaste.

500ml bottle. Don't see a date. Bought it at the brewery in March, so it can't be any fresher than four months old.
Pours slightly hazy, light amber or honey gold with a biggish creamy head that dissipates slowly. Smell is funky/brett, a little barn. Moderate spiciness, mild lemon tartness, a little honey.
Taste is moderate tartness, not exactly lemony, leaning a bit toward stone fruit, doesn't have nearly as much of the funky/brett/barn or even the spice. It's good, but a little bit of a letdown after all the interesting stuff in the nose.
Mouthfeel is medium, leaning toward light, fairly dry. Overall, very nice, easy to drink.
