Flavorful mostly smooth however I sense some aftertaste. Good to great but not great. Definitely had better ones from HH brewery. Pricey at $18.99 for a 4 pk at Red Wine and Brew Chesterland, OH

1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours pale yellow and turbid. It is topped with an inch of beige head that recedes quickly.
There is not a huge aroma. I get some light tropical notes.
The flavor is tropical fruit and melon. No bitterness
Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel
It is good, but I wouldn't list it at the top of my Hoof list.

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Clear 16.5-oz. Belgian ale tulip
From: JJ
Price: N/A
Purchased: N/A; Received June 1, 2017
Consumed: June 6, 2017
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Misc.: No canned on date (est. April 18, 2017); Collaboration with The Answer
Got this along with nine others from JJ, completing an earlier trade. Had seen JJ checking into Hoof Hearted and all of them looked good. I’m sure part of it was the cool cans, but even more for Hoof Hearted’s reputation. Looking forward to this collaboration with The Answer. NOTE: Apparently this was a hazy beer. Did not know until the pour.
Poured a straw hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Just a few bubbles coming up from the bottom. Outstanding layered foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled orange blossom, orange juice, melon, pineapple, floral, peach, apricot, guava, papaya, cantaloupe, persimmon and stone fruit. Struggled to get hops, but was guessing some combination of Amarillo, Mosaic and Citra. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste followed the nose for the most part. Got tons of juicy pineapple, mango, melon, cantaloupe and persimmon up front. Also Amarillo, Motueka (I think) and Mosaic. Also stone fruit, guava, papaya, hints of coconut, floral, orange blossom and some darkness. Tropical dominates. No tasting that 8.5 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was pretty good, especially for a hazy DIPA. Not as much hops as I’d want, but still outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)

Got this recently in a trade. Love the can! This beer poured into a nice NE style haze in a tulip glass. Lots of tropical smell on the nose, especially the pineapple. The taste follows the nose, for sure. Plenty of body and smooth for the ABV. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised how good this beer was. Hope to try this one again!
