A- Slightly cloudy pour from the 16oz can into a goblet. The beer is a pale golden hue and a one finger, bubbly, thin crown forms but quickly dies out to almost nothing. Lacing is very rare.

S- Fairly balanced aroma between the Saison yeast, the sour bugs and the added fruits. A moderate kick of lactic acid lace throughout as Saison esters and spice lead the way with a decent punch of passionfruit and a tiny hint of pineapple. A touchy funky and grainy. Pale vinous grapes come to mind.

T- The passionfruit certainly more front and center on the palate with a moderate hit of lactic acid sourness. The passionfruit kind of overshadows a lot of the other things you get in the aroma but there are subtle spicy, funky, whole grain, pineapple and bready hints beneath that.

MF- Smooth and silky medium bodied brew with a high carbonation level. Fairly puffy texture and a moderately sour ending.

An aroma that is well rounded between the yeast, adjuncts and sour flora leads into a flavor that has a bit more passionfruit than it may need. Lactic passionfruit flavor profile is never bad but a bit one note.

A: The beer is a little hazy yellow in color and has a moderate to high amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving only a minuscule collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of sourness are present in the nose along with notes of passionfruit and hints of pineapple.
T: The taste follows the smell and is quite sour with flavors of passionfruit and pineapple.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit tart and dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This sour saison is a lot lighter in body compared to other sours and is very easy to drink and refreshing.

opaque gold, frothy foam head

Little pineapple, more sour passionfruit. Slight saison funkiness.

Thin like a sour, good carbonation, semi-tart and dry.

Pretty good, refreshing, but not anything I would revisit.

16 ounce can, canned on 9/5/2018. Label says 6.5% ABV. Served in a Hoof Hearted Teku, the beer pours a hazy gold color with about an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice and fruity, it smells like passionfruit, pineapple, bready/grainy malt and some peppery spice. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some citrus peel and a bit of caramel noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good brew, I liked it a lot! Certainly worth picking up if you're into tart/sour beers!
