Look: hazy, straw, white fluffy head, sticky lacing
Smell: citrusy, peach, pine, resinous
Taste: peach, grapefruit, pine resin, melon, spicy
Feel: med heavy body, low carbo
Overall: 9.2% abv on the can. Could This Be Magic? Triple Dry-Hopped, Triple IPA brewed with Citra Hops in honor of Van Halen's third album, Women and Children First. She's a Romeo Delight lol. Super smooth brew and super tasty. Resinous flavor is pretty strong which of course, I love. Picked up a single to try and ended up going back for a 4 pack. I'll be on the lookout for more Hoof Hearted. Crank up Everybody Wants Some!! by Van Halen and rock on!

You know you want it. Everybody does, especially brewers. It's Citra and it's all the rage. Hoof Hearted is the fortunate brewers to get enough of the stuff to create a triple dry-hoped, imperial, hazy ale all done with the magical cones of Citra.
Opening with a pale opaque and deep lemon gold pour, the Triple Dry-Hopped Citra version of Everybody Wants Some creates a dense and frothy pour with a billowing scent of Citrus fruit with hints of tropics, stone fruit and fine herb. Creamy and sweet on the palate, a rounded maltiness of whole wheat, cereal, coconut and cream slather the tongue with grain sweetness ahead of a hop onslaught of white grapefruit, tangerine, mandarin and valencia orange. Additional flavors of mango and apricot follow up with fruit cocktail flavors ahead of a tightening bitterness of hemp, tea leaf, citrus peel and spruce tip.
Full bodied, bitter-sweet and slightly cloying, the boldness of grain nearly rivals that of the coveted Citra hop. But alas, the Citra wins out in the end.

Canned on 12/16/2024; consumed on 1/13/2025
Pours a turbid, mango-gold hue capped with three fingers of fluffy, slightly off-white foam; great head retention yields a finger of cap, modest, frothy collar, and ample caking of soapy lacing encircling the walls of the glass.
Aroma imposes fragrantly resinous pineapple wafting into sticky mango, with grapefruit peel accentuation inciting further orange zest in a rounded, citrus-laden encapsulation.
Taste brings fresh mango and a ripe pineapple accent as creamed peach undertones build into contrast to grapefruit peel past the mid-palate and a pulpy orange back end.
Mouthfeel offers a medium body and modest carbonation, with taut, level textures remaining clean over the mid-palate into a juicy peak and bright, vaguely resinous finish.
Your classically juicy NEIPA, seemingly ignorant to its own hefty ABV as an interchanging silk and stickiness engages the profile with myriad creamy tropical fruit and dashes of tame, earthy resins to contrast.

1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours yellow and is turbid. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.
The smell is mango, melon, and hints of pine.
The taste mirrors the smell. Tropical fruit bomb with melon but the pine is lacking in the taste.
Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel
This is a tasty and smooth beverage.

A: Pours a yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Lots of citrus and citrus zest up front along with some very light booze and herbal notes
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with lots of citrusy hops and zest along with some lighter herbal notes and a touch of booze. Full on citra hops. Moderate bitterness. Finishes with lingering citrus
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A TDH triple IPA bomb filled with straight up citra. More of a sipper with the abv. Definitely worth a drink
