12oz can at share. Because we just had to. Pale yellow, piss colored, small foamy head. Candy aroma and taste, jolly ranchers, cherries, lime. More like a soda than a beer.

this actually isnt that bad, clearly a response to naturdays, better than it, less sweet for sure. usually i am not a fan of this flavored stuff, but in the context it works because the raspberry and lime candy qualities cover up the inferior metallic lager beneath them pretty effectively, so while this tastes more like soda than beer, at least it doesnt taste like bad beer. still, very little lager character can be appreciated through the popsicle raspberry and zesty lime. its over the top for sure, but at the expense of the base beer i dont mind in this instance. still with some more sweetness than i need, especially as it warms it stands out more, and this isnt something i would want to make a day of, but as a novelty drink and a break from a heavy craft drinking weekend, i didnt mind it at all, certainly less offensive than the original beer. i know this is cheap and not meant to be anything more than it is, so i cant be too harsh on it. i feel for anyone who decides to make this a lifestyle brand for the summer, but i wouldnt turn down another one in my future...

Nestled amongst dented sauce cans, misshapen produce, expired milk cartons, and dubious tins of prepackaged guacamole, a pallet of 12 packs of Keystone Light Keylightful caught my eye while I was shopping at the Salvage Store in Harahan, Louisiana - a store where they sell expired products other grocers couldn't manage to move at a steep discount. I've always given every beer a fair shake, but I fear this will be another Natural Light Naturdays or Colt 45 Piledriver...almost every time Big Beer takes a budget lager, adds artificial flavoring, and rebrands it, the result is less than promising.

The 12 pack ran me $5.88 USD plus tax.

"Each 12-ounce can has 4.1% ABV, 125 calories, and 10.6 grams of carbohydrates. You can pick up a 12- or 30-pack of the raspberry like beer now. It’s available nationwide, so just go where you usually do to get Keystone Light."

"Aside from the raspberry and lime flavors, Keylightful touts its very own pawesome brand mascot:a fun-loving French Bulldog named Lil’ Breezy Keezy. Lil’ Breezy Keezy’s interests include tail-gating, dog day afternoons and keeping up-to-date with pup-ular culture."

Served cold into a stemless wine glass, though I reckon a shaker pint is the more suitable vessel for a beer of this tier (if one bothers to use a glass at all).

APPEARANCE: Fizzy white head...starts off at about 3cm in height and quickly recedes, dying fully within 45 seconds. No lacing adheres to the sides of the glass as the weak head quickly fades. Body is a clear light urine yellow. Boasts excellent clarity...it's obviously filtered.

Appears well carbonated. I can't say it looks very good, but I consider it a good thing it's a mere urine yellow (the raspberry had me worried it might look like bloodied urine).

AROMA: Fake fruit punch-redolent fruity aromatics. Artificial berry syrup, powdered fruit punch packets, children's fruit candy. Amidst the odor of artificial raspberry, it's tough to find any lime (even Mexican lager-like fake lime) or malt aromatics.

Suggests a sticky cloying lager dominated by artificial fruit flavoring...the kind of beer you'd give to a 12 year old to kick off their descent into alcoholism.

TASTE & TEXTURE: Sticky and sweet, managing somehow to feel both watery thin and syrupy thick at the same time...this commits both cardinal sins of budget beer texture simultaneously. I can't find any 6-row/pale malt lurking behind the dominant artificial berry/fruit punch flavour (even recognizing it as "raspberry" is a stretch...it's just vague candied berry syrup), but I do get a hint of fake lime which also comes across as syrupy.

It's certainly too sweet, but it isn't the cloying nightmare I feared it might be...I can drink it, but it's a bit of a chore.

Smooth, wet, unrefreshing, overly thick for a fruited light lager.

OVERALL: It's not as terrible as I expected it to be, but I still reckon I'd sooner drink plain old Keystone Light. This'll do in a pinch as an addition to meat marinades that call for beer acidity despite the prevalence of the raspberry syrup flavour in it...it tastes a bit like someone took the raspberry syrup you add to a traditional Berliner Weisse and dropped it into a budget lager. A budget beer for the alcopop lover (read: underage drinking demographic), but not a brew I'd voluntarily revisit.

If you must drink it, I'd recommend adding some salt to it to help intensify the lime and cut its perceived syrupy thickness.

Not so much "Keylightful" as it is "Keysgusting..."

Low D- (1.81) / NOT RECOMMENDED

09/14/20 ice cold can poured hard into a shaker pint with table salt added:

Keylightful? More like "keypugnant" amirite?

It's apt this beer has a dog as its mascot...this is absolute dogshit.

Keylightful has a thick, white head, a clear straw appearance, grain dust sediment, throughout, and moderate lacing. The aroma is of citrus fruit and light grain. There is a similar flavor, with no bitterness, but some hard water. Keylightful is medium bodied and has a crisp finish. RJT

12 oz can, dated June 22, 2020 into Coors Batch 19 Pint glass.

Pours a pale golden straw color with a finger of loosely-knit bone white head that recedes to a fingernail within 30 seconds. The beer does not stop effervescing, it just keeps feeding the fingernail of head for minutes to come. It's like a whirlpool at the top.

Aroma reminds me of those Strawberry Mini Wheaties, but has a "pinker" aroma leaning towards raspberry and yes the lime (froot loops) is there. The notes are somewhat artificial, but from a cereal standpoint (and the fact that beer is basically liquid cereal), this works. Hints of crisp crackery grain. No skunk and no chemicals. Good work.

Flavor -- I could see how one would love this on a boat on a hot day. This is a brainless wonder, something that takes zero effort to enjoy. You don't think about the complexities or nuances. It seems almost sinful to do so. But I'm gonna try. I get the strawberry mini wheats thing, with a small injection of totally fake raspberry syrup that hangs out for a bit on the tonsils, and some nice crackery pale malt action that blends in and possibly covers up the lime thing. Zero hop here. Also zero skunk and zero chemical. And before this paragraph is finished, the beer is half gone already.

Feel is crisp and empty, nearly zero body. The crispness is what saves it, and the carbonation is of course on point.

Overall, I can't hate on this beer too badly. I mean, it's a light lager. And when we all discovered craft for the first time, we loved to hate on light beer like it was an incurable disease. But coming back to this, I can see some artistry in it - it's macro artistry, but artistry nonetheless. It's not great, or good, but it's not THAT bad.

Price paid : 99 cents
Would buy again : Doubtful, but it's possible.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pale straw color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell has lots of sweet raspberries, some hints of lime. Taste is mild and fruity, raspberries and a touch of lime. Feels light bodied in the mouth and overall it's nothing special, but if counting calories, it's probably not a bad option.

Keystone Light Keylightful brewed by Coors Brewing Company (Molson-Coors),with a ABV of 4.10% This Fruit and Field beer pours out of a 12oz can into a pint beer glass. The color is light staw color with a small white head. The head to this brew goes way fast. There is some mirror lacing to this brew, is kinda sticks to the glass. The smell is sweet, with raspberries an like. Then you pick up on some grains an malts in the smell as well. So far this is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste it is raspberry an lime as to be expected. I know this brew is out to compete with Nattadays. Has the same look an taste. The body of Keystone Light Keylightful is a light medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it a nice smoothness to it. This brew would go nice on a hot summer day. Really hits the spot. The mouth feel is Bold, Sweet, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I going to give Keystone Light Keylightful a 3.50 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the opportunity too. Coors Brewing Company (Molson-Coors), did a real nice job with summer style brew.

12oz can stamped "JUN 2220" poured into a pint glass at fridge temp 4.1% ABV. The beer pours bright very light straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. Minimal lacing. The aroma is artificial raspberry and sugar-free sweetner. The taste follows with more artificially sweet raspberry, a hint of lime flavoring and that lingering bitterness that comes on the end of a drink of diet soda. No hops were harmed (or even used) in the manufacturing of this beer. Mouthfeel is thin bodied with just above average carbonation and a cloying, yet bitter, saccharine finish. Overall, poor. Makes Naturdays taste like actual beer.

I’ll start by saying it was better than I expected, but that’s not saying much. Smells like raspberry and cheap beer. No lime detected. Tastes more like raspberry than anything else. Still no lime detected whatsoever. Surprisingly light and refreshing. It is what it is, and as far the whole “cheap beer with random artificial flavoring added” style goes, it’s not bad.
