22oz bottle, shared with my wife. My serving is in a big snifter. Bottled on 12/13/17. Number 3804/4400. I'm not sure, but I think this was given to me by @mr-jj.
Pours black with a smallish head (maybe medium for the style). Not much carbonation -- little bubbles just crawling their way to the surface. Smell is anise and black coffee.
Taste is black coffee, extremely dark chocolate, and a little anise. Something is providing a little sweetness. This is a very tasty beer.
Mouthfeel is thick and chewy. Overall, this is a very good beer.

22 oz bottle poured into speigelau ipa Glass.
A: Small Soapy slightly off white head that settles to a bubbly froth. Body is a nice rich black with just a little light peaking around the very edges.
S: Lots of bakers chocolate, roasted malts, and licorice.
T: Lots of sweet dark chocolate, developing into a deep roasted almost burnt malt character then giving way to some light licorice and more chocolate. finishing just a little bitter and a trace of alcohol.
M: medium to fuller body not quite thick but coats the tongue fairly well and lingers.
O: This is a damn fine stout it hides the alcohol well at 12%. Lots of flavor in this bad boy.

T- Roasted malts, smoky, dark fruits, some chocolate, bitter coffee finish, some marshmallow sweetness.
M- Smooth, medium body.
O- A really tasty and easy drinking RIS, feel like the taste and body could both be big, but I’m very happy I gave this a try.

Appearance is dark brown with a dense, creamy, mocha head. Retention is excellent, lacing is spotty. Aroma is dark roasted malts, chocolate, and a bit of smoke. The taste follows, with the smokiness taking a larger role. Some initial sweetness and the chocolate is still present, but now competes with tobacco and leather. This is very complex and delicious. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Finish is somewhat bitter dark roast.
