Not sure what the lactose adds but it does tame the beast. Quaffable,you fo not taste 10 percent. Some hops glavour,but also a spicy meal to compete with.smrlt better than it is.

L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a bright, light yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus fruit, pine, malt, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a bit of malt (mostly in the finish), some - but not a lot - pine resin, a moderate amount of hops (not too much, though), a slightly grainy quality, some citrus fruit (lemon, orange), and a little tropical fruit (mango). A light, sharp and sweet flavor. It's pretty fruity, but not overwhelmingly so. For a DIPA it has a low hops content. Tasty.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A well done, easy to drink beer. Drinkable.
