Super tart. Needs some time to adjust to. All in all, a trip worth to the brewery.

Poured from a bottle (17Jun2020 release) into a Belgian glass
L: very rich, dark ruby purple red with a matching (lighter) head. Very highly carbonated, almost loud and crackling. Can see bubbles through the glass, despite darker color
S: sharp, tart aroma. Bitter with a wine-like acidity, on top of a more barnyard/saison funk base. Get some hay, lemon
T: bitter aronia leads, met with a more mellow golden sour flavor that helps cut the acidity. Very tart, grassy berries with a bit of hay, lemon, wheat, bread. Bit of a muddled flavor in the middle, medium finish
F: highly carbonated, medium mouthfeel, nicely drying
O: second beer I've encountered with aronia! Delivers the puckering nature I was anticipating, with the aged golden sour base cutting through it somewhat. Flavor a bit muddled, would have liked less carbonation, but overall a very good beer
