India Pale Ale with Buddha Hand and Phantasm
Our voices lay scattered among the hidden frequencies all around us. For the moment, this is our dwelling. And until the passage of blowing winds, airborne we remain, as mere particles of a greater existence. Made to implore an essence of the South Pacific into our usual American tale with our friends at Phantasm and Garage Project. Made from pale barley, malted oats and Riverbend Malt rye. Whirlpooled with a massive charge of new harvest Phantasm powder, made from freeze-dried New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc skins. Double dry-hopped with our select New Zealand Motueka and select Oregon Mosaic. Finished off with the fresh zest of Buddha’s Hand Citron.

Thanks, Bill!
Was lucky enough to get a bunch of beer from Bill (and Kristine) when I saw them on a recent work trip. Wasn’t expecting that and I hadn’t brought anything myself. So stupid. Should’ve brought some Mcilhenney crowlers for their pregame. Anyway, I didn’t know going in if this beer was a New England IPA or a West Coast IPA. The Untappd description was “India Pale Ale with Buddha Hand and Phantasm. Our voices lay scattered among the hidden frequencies all around us. For the moment, this is our dwelling. Poured a light golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Plenty of uneven bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect semi-layered lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Definitely not the freshest, could tell right away on the nose with that trashy smell. Smelled Mosaic, guava, floral, peach, Motueka, lemon zest, caramel candy squares, herbal and menthol. Better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little better than the nose at first touch, but not as good each sip after. In order got Mosaic, guava, floral, peach, orange juice, papaya, Motueka, lemon zest, caramel candy squares, herbal and menthol. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was a pretty good beer overall. Glad I got to try it. (Overall - 3.75)

Canned 9/1/21.
L: Pours an opaque deep yellow gold. Thin head that quickly fades to a film on top, and sticks more thickly to the edges. Thin irregular lacing that's very pretty.
S: Aromas of peach. white grape, and lime, none very strong.
T: Tropical fruit up front, blends with berries in the middle. Finishes with an unexpected grapefruit bitter bite.
F: Lightly carbed. Medium mouthfeel. Easy on the palate.
O: Nice transition from tropical fruit and berries to grapefruit bitterness. Reminiscent of Tree House Green, which is meant as a compliment.
