Harvest saison ale with fresh marigold and orange zest.
For this late harvest saison we worked with the local agricultural cooperative @sustainabillies to source a pound per barrel of fresh marigold flowers that we steeped in the whirlpool of this 100% @epiphanycraftmalt saison. Hopped with Saaz, we finished this delicate ale by conditioning it on 2 pound of fresh orange zest in the brite.

Had on tap. Murky bright orange pour with a white head. I have tried plenty of wild saison with flowers added and they have been delightful. This was not one of those. Horrible vegetable stalks, dirty mop water and orange in a weak wild saison where even the yeast breaks down. Smell is sour orange with compost greens. Feel is watery, thin, mildly sour. I don’t know how my friend choked it his glass, I couldn't
