Imperial stout with Diner Coffee, smoked sea salt, toasted Texas pecans, maple syrup, cinnamon, and bourbon barrel-aged Mexican vanilla beans.
To paint this portrait for you we blended 3 varied-age imperial dtouts and conditioned them with appropriate Methodical Coffee, maplewood smoked sea salt, house-toasted southern pecans, maple syrup, and cinnamon. We then added a Mexican vanilla beans aged briefly in a small bourbon cask. The crossroads of consciousness brings forward a morning cup of coffee with a fresh pack of smokes, warm Texas pecan pie, topped in vanilla whipped cream, and all the boilermaker accommodation you require.

Poured from a 500mL bottle into a Perennial SdC tumbler. Dark brown pours with a dark khaki head. Lots of maple and cinnamon up front on the nose. Some vanilla and chocolate and coffee as it warms. Taste follows. Really good aromas and flavors of a breakfast stout. Medium-full mouthfeel. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Appearance: Arrives almost black with a thin tan film covering; the head fades to a collar rather quickly; leggy but no lacing
Smell: Smoked chocolate fudge and coffee tones; sweeter hints of vanilla and pecan
Taste: Chocolate fudge and Turkish coffee forward; a little smoke emerges along with the pecan and vanilla tones; after the swallow, there is the slightest touch of heat from the cinnamon before the coffee becomes dominant; the aftertaste brings a hint of Bourbon to cap things off
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; considerable warmth in the gullet
Overall: A lot of interesting adjuncts here but each one stands apart on its merits
