It is what we need to break through. It is the laughter in the misery. Something pleasant. Something to turn the tide. A poetic flirtation with the farmhouse ales that willed us into opening our brewery. There for a moment, gone with the winds, and brought back to us through the gifts of the waves in our sea. This styling pronounces our fondness for malt beverage, pronounced by the flora along the water's edge, under the canopy of trees, and carried by the breeze. Farmhouse ales have carried the lore of Wallonian brewing for centuries, and we kindly tap glasses this year with a new variation. This ale is made from warmly-fermented yeast, born of France, our Riverbend rye and German barley, and Saaz, Triumph and Amarillo hops. A bouquet of underripe stone fruit on the stem, oils of bergamot, green peppercorn and fresh blossoms on unrelenting trees.

gorgeous and nuanced clean saison, love the complexity without anything funky, and love the use of rye malt in this, a highly refined take on the style, layered and drinkable, the low abv is awesome, a little bit hoppy late, nice flow and movement to this, fits the springtime well, burial does so many things well, very impressive, we loved this four pack. pretty golden tone, clear enough for what it is, high rising puffy white head, lots of carbonation, they nailed the texture of this. aroma has some earthy rye spice and compatible white pepper, coriander, and white tea character from the french saison yeast, which i am curious about, because its not generic at all to my nostrils here, maybe something lesser known there, soft pale barley, light citrus, cut flowers, and a little bit of grassiness to, balancing bitterness apparent, delicate overall, interesting but also familiar at the same time. the flavor leads with the yeast, mellow esters rather than high tone phenolics here, not really white winey as it can sometimes beer, here more citrus and orange florals to me, bee pollen, lemon verbena, sets the hops up well, light spice there too, mowed lawn, very fresh. light coriander, black pepper, the earthy dry rye malt, wildflower honey, grapevine, faint ginger to me or something, bright and delicious with a quick, dry, snappy peppery finish and some hops, really good. flush with carbonation and grain body, its creamy and hearty and then its gone, at once fuller and also quenching, beautiful. everything i want a clean saison to be, beautifully composed brew here!

16oz can. Poured a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of spices, yeast and sweet caramel. Subtle fruity taste with spices, yeast and a caramel backbone.

No date on can, into a pils glass.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with dense white foam. Very nice. Aroma is bubblegum and spices with a nice dryness. Some pear as well. Flavor is pretty typical Belgian fare, but well done. The same flavors of bubblegum and pear come through, with a good flavor of hay and peppercorn. Finish is slightly sweet but still clean. Very drinkable but the flavors are nicely bold, and I don't feel like I'm losing anything at the low ABV. It's very bright and heavily carbed, which helps the bitterness and clean finish.

Overall, I love Belgian strong ales, so it makes no sense why I don't drink saisons. This is a great, pure example of American Belgian-style brewing, and it's exceptionally easy to drink and enjoy.

Look: It pours golden with a bit of hazing. It has a white head with tight beading. Head retention is very good.

Smell: It has lemon and spice up front with some Begian funk in close support. There are clove elements with vanilla and a touch of dough.

Taste: It has lemon, clove, spice and Belgian funk flavors up front. There is an herbal quality to it with some vanilla.

Feel: It has a medium light body with a dry finish.

Overall, very flavorful with good aromatics.

Can dated 2/29/24 (Leap Year Day!) into pint gllass. Pours a clear light gold with a persistent off-white head. Good lacing. Initial impression is leather, stone fruits, flowers, and yeast. I mostly drink IPAs so my palate isn't exactly sure what to make of this one. Mouthfeel is clean and slightly astringent. Finish fades to slight spiciness. Overall, quite enjoyable.
