Rum barrel and bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with coconut and Tahitian vanilla bean.

A silver lining in our fallibility. Our shortcomings reincarnated into personal connection. Once you uncover the obfuscated potential the boundless portal lies ahead. After many days spent sampling our barrel cellar we came up with a decadent blend of Imperial Stout for The House of Relics' 2nd Anniversary. Half aged in Caribbean rum barrels and the other half in Willet bourbon barrels that we then conditioned on house toasted macaroon coconut and hand scraped gourmet Tahitian vanilla. Dive into dark chocolate bourbon brownies, topped with coconut mallow fluff and finished off with a nightcap of your finest rum.

On draft at the brewery's South Slope taproom.

Appearance. Black body with a short and weak head.

Bourbon and coconut dominate the aroma which also has more subtle notes of rum and vanilla.
Bourbon, coconut and some wooden barrel notes add nicely to the sweet flavor. Vanilla reappears in the finish and aftertaste.
