Thanks to beeradvocate users who helped identify this beer. You da real mvp. Also leftpaw since he brought this beer out.
Pours a nice dark(er, but not black cherry) cherry color seemingly indicative of the balaton variety. Dey good. Its good to touch the green green grass of home, but also these dark red cherry skins. Pretty color, makes 1/3" off white head on top of the deep red. Aroma is also that of cherry. For being a mixed culture saison, it doesn't really have the hallmarks of saison tradition. Just fruit. But its nice. Smells more of fruited wild ale than barnyard wet hay saison.
The taste rolls the same way, giant cherry amounts dominate over the usual nuance of a saison. Its pretty sour, maybe a 6.5/10. But hey, it nails the cherry aspect. Say the word Robitussin if you got nothing else going for you. The acidity is lower than the sourness. Would have liked to be able to discern the saison aspect here, but even at 7%, this leans more into the wild ale category than it does saison, but that's ok. Reminescient of some of those Council or Toolbox mixed culture fruited beers.
