Coconut Vibes is our Vibes imperial stout recipe infused three times with raw and toasted coconut flakes (because we can’t fit all of it on one try!) and a dash of cocoa nibs from Ghana. For this release we also blended in roughly 18% barrel-aged imperial stout which was aged for 21 months in Willett bourbon barrels to elevate the base beer for the coconut to integrate into.

2025 bottling
Appearance: Pours pitch black with a thin beige film that slowly dissipates; tiny speckles linger
Smell: Toasted coconut, brown sugar and dark chocolate, with some vanilla and light roasted elements bar, light roast, vanilla extract, and sweetness.
Taste: Dark chocolate, slight roast and toasted coconut forward, with vanilla emerging; moderately sweet finish with the flavors well-integrated
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy with low carbonation; just a touch of warmth in the gullet
Overall: Going to drink this treat slowly while watching the NFL playoffs on a cold snowy day

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some deep toasted coconut notes and some residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some nice toasted coconut notes with just the right amount of residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with no discernible alcohol notes. Solid pastry stout with great flavours and great balance/drinkability.

Pitch black viscous body with a brown head. Smell has an amazing amount of coconut and chocolate fudge, with caramel, vanilla, and slight roast supporting. Taste is a potent coconut truffle, with stout trappings as it warms. Feel is heavy and thick yet velvet smooth. An amazing non-ba coconut stout

Pitch black pour, creamy beige head. Milk chocolate and coconut hit first, then roasted bitterness kicks in. Thick, chewy mouthfeel—like dessert in a glass. Tasty, but I was hoping for a little more oomph

Incredible. Thick chewy cloying without being overly sweet. The perfect adjunct stout.

Look - Pours a pitch-black color with a super dark brown head that disappears after a minute or two. The head sticks to the side of the glass.
Smell - Coconut and chocolate. Simple but nice.
Taste - A nice coconut and chocolate flavor. Not sweet at all, but not bitter either.
Feel - A very thick, creamy mouthfeel that goes well with the coconut and chocolate flavor.
Overall - This is one my favorite non-barrel aged stouts. At least, I'm not tasting the barrel aging, and the bottle says nothing about it, but the current BeerAdvocate description says it "was aged for 21 months in Willett bourbon barrels"?

L - Deep motor oil black with a dark tan head that dissipates relatively quickly, leaving behind a thin cap and minor lacing.
S - Sweet, milky coconut and fudge - smells like unsweetened coconut milk, which doesn't necessarily smell great, but it smells like it should with the ingredients
T - Sweet milky coconut up front and throughout intermixed well with fudge and bakers chocolate - very faint notes of bourbon. As it warms, some of the toasted coconut shines through
F - Full bodied with light carbonation - soft, velvety smooth, oily slick
O - Pretty straight forward - like a silky smooth mounds bar - tons of rich chocolate and coconut - very well done, yet simple. The only thing that could be better is the smell
