Reflections is our collection of small, single-barrel releases of some of our favorite exploratory beers in a barrel room.
For this release of Reflections, we brewed our Oude du Blé recipe on 3/24/17 and let it barrel ferment and age in a seasoned chardonnay barrel that held a thread of Tête de Cuvée. It was aged for 26 months and then bottle conditioned for an additional 3 months before being shared.

Poured from a 375mL bottle into a stemmed bulb glass. Pours a cloudy yellowish orange with a finger of firm white foam head. Musty oak and white wine on the nose. Taste follows with some funk and mild sourness. Thick, full mouthfeel. This is amazing. Complex yet inviting. Lightly tart with a lot of oak and barrel-aging nuances. My favorite of this series.

Poured from the bottle into a stemmed glass. Tight white head. Nice golden color. Nice nose, apricot and peaches a little bit of must. Got the characteristic SP acidity and tartness but well balanced and lingers on the back of the tongue. Can pick up on the wine barrel in the flavor. Really nice beer.
