Dark brown / black with a muted beige head that recedes quickly to a collar. Bourbon, barrel, chocolate, and outrageously dominant but so well integrated and tasteful vanilla bean. Silk smooth mouthfeel!

Love this beer! The wheated stout and wheated bourbon barrels meld really well together. Awesome SP thickness and fudgyness. The vanilla was an awesome touch to the softness of the wheated stout.

From bottle at Side Project's The Cellar site.
Deep dark and viscous liquid with only minimal foam around the edge of glass. Aroma is marshmallowy vanilla infused with bourbon. Very much present in the flavor, with an exceptional balance between vanilla and the barrel where they play off each other with each sip. The vanilla does not taste artificial in any way. It is perfect and what I hope with any vanilla imperial stout. The thickness and chewiness on this beer is insane. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole bottle.

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a stemmed snifter. Pours a dark black with little to no head. The nose is sweet, chocolate and vanilla, bourbon. It's as sweet as it smells. More and more vanilla as it warms good notes of chocolate. The alcohol is well hidden. Rides the line between balance and cloying well. Silky and smooth, full bodied. Top notch.
