The finale in the Coexpressionalism series with our friend Trevor Rogers from de Garde Brewing, Coexpressionalism Blauw started in the summer of 2017 with a lambic-inspired brew which merged our process and our individual, native cultures to create flavors unlike either of us had before. After resting in our French oak foedre named "Terry" (after Trevor) for more than 2.5 years, we racked the beer into a Missouri oak foedre and finished it on more than 2,000 pounds of Oregon blueberries. The result is funky, earthy and pleasantly sour - falling right in line with the pedigree and quality of its predecessors - Coexpressionalism Framboise and Coexpressionalism Kriek.

750 mL bottle. Bright red. Smells of blueberries and some raspberry acidity. Tastes of oak, sour blueberry and raspberry. Hits the nose, but it's incredibly sour. But sourness lingers. Medium body. It's ok.

Pouted from a 750 mL bottle. The color is very pretty blue hazy color. The aroma is a bit of funk with a big explosion of blueberry, love it. Also get a sweet tart vibes. The taste follows the smell with the typical SP acidity and a light blueberry flavor. Its an awesome beer and tasty nonetheless.

poured from a 750mL bottle into a SP lambic glass. pours a maroon-ish purple with two fingers of light purple foam head. blueberries, pie crust and oak on the nose. taste follows with a slightly sour, very dry finish. it’s tart blueberries at first but i get the pie crust aromas in the taste as it warms up. full mouthfeel with a very oak-forward finish. quite dry. really good. probably my favorite of the series.
