Wine barrel-fermented Missouri saison
Single Thread is our yearly release exclusively for our La Coterie members. For the 2022 blending, we chose to entwine threads of Oude Fermier fermented on black currants which was then blended in a bière de coupage style with a younger Missouri saison. Single Thread was aged an extended period of time in the bottle before we felt it was ready to share with you.

poured from a 750mL bottle into a stemless wine glass. pours a deep ruby red with a light pink foam. beautiful looking beer to my eyes. cranberries, cherries and cinnamon on the nose. taste follows with a mixture of spicy dark fruit and dry oak on the finish. full mouthfeel; fluffy and dry. really good blend. it’s soft, not overly sour with a bit of acidity from the fruit but it’s very well balanced.
