500ml bottle served in a curvy Monhegan pint glass. If it's dated, I don't see it. I do not at this moment know where I got it. Thought I got it from Stout/Barleywine BIF #2 somehow, but don't see it in my records...more investigation required...
Pours black, small to no head, looks thick and still. Smell is chocolate and anise, bourbon vanilla and molasses. Boozy, but not unpleasantly so.
Taste is super chocolatey. Bourbon vanilla, molasses, mocha. Charred oak, creamy, sweet.
Mouthfeel is rich and velvety. Very nice beer.

The epitome of "fine." They don't give any indication of what they are going for, so I likewise don't have much conviction in whether or not they've hit the mark. It's a bourbon barrel aged stout, this version aged in Booker's. Nice.

Had on tap at Churchkey. Nice overall BA Imp Stout. SOP for look, nose and taste. Very nice sipper with inviting medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle from the brewery in Brooklyn. Pours thick, black, just a wisp of head on the edges, boozy lacing; smell is bourbon, vanilla, fudgey chocolate, chocolate pudding, sticky toffee cake, oak; taste follows the nose with bourbon, vanilla, oak, chocolate, fudge, chocolate cake, chocolate milk, roasted dark malts and hint of tobacco and roast coffee on the finish; feel is full bodied/ thick, minimal carbonation, semi-dry finish. Thick chonk-latey chocolate milk, bourbon, vanilla, wood, and pinch of char. Yom.
