Overall, this is good saison highlight by orange and spicy flavors.

Hazy pale orange with ample foam and minimal spotty lacing.
Earthy minerally aroma, citrusy lemon zest. Dry tea leaves surface later.
Taste is unique, it has a lemon and tea impression, slightly sweet though thankfully it finishes dry and crisp. Earthy saison yeast subtly weaves around a mild lemony tartness. Light to medium bodied, crisp and dry.
Overall it’s a pleasant beer that successfully delivers on it’s concept.
Arnold Palmer-esque.

Appearance: Popped this bottle open and foam slowly gushed out, but not like champagne. The appearance is a bright yellowish peach with no translucence. Very hazy with a white half inch foam.
Smell: very floral and fragrant with a lemony scent. As it warmed up, there were notes of black paper and pitted fruits.
Taste: flavors are mild and herbal. It starts out lemony with subtle pitted fruits and yeast. There was just a touch of black pepper and an essence of tea. I would have no idea black tea was in this if it wasn’t for the label. I find this slightly sweet, tart, and refreshing.
Mouthfeel: very light bodied and refreshing. Lots of carbonation initially but after my second pour an hour later (it was corked and in fridge) carbonation fell off quickly.
Overall: this was my post-run beer and it was perfectly suited. Or drink this outside when you are enjoying the weather. The low ABV really suits this beer well.

neat beer, a cleanish saison brewed with black tea and lemons. for me it was a little overly subtle on the extra ingredients, the wheat took up a lot of the palate, and it didnt quite have the dryness or effervescent pop i like in the style, not flat or anything, but not as jovial and active as i think the flavors would like. cloudy with some sediment from the bottle, head fades fast and vinous, tangy, citrusy, summery aromas fill the glass, its hearty in the grain for being so low alcohol, but still dry at the same time. a little bready in taste there, a flash of pils type malt too, crackery and raw though, and then more of the lemon than the tea. i actually am left wanting more tea, the bitterness and the crispness it might add would clean this up a little i think. the yeast isnt as interesting as it is in their best beers, but it does have just a little twangy funk to it, before the beer dries up. orange notes more than lemon as it warms, familiar too, less distinctive than a lot of theirs are, but in the end delicious, drinkable, and right for this time of year. i really love what fonta flora is doing, and i want more of it!
