Cloudy bright yellow body, white cap. Aromas of earth, honey, cardamom, flower stems, and robust rye and grainy bread, but there is a medicinal hints there. Tastes like an old person pocket honey cough drop with lemon and multgrain yeast, with light lacto and flowers. Couldn't finish it. Feel is medium bodied and sneaky heavy for style, very smooth with rustic flair.

Pours a very light yellow with a very white head..
Smell is lemon zest and honey.
Taste, here is where it gets interesting. . Taste follows the smell. A light lemon sour until you get the amazing bready finish.
Feel is very carbonated. Crisp and tingling to the tongue.
Overall the is a very refreshing and pleasing beer. It is on the light side for sure. Nice none the less.

A: The beer is very hazy pale light yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that died down a bit but never completely faded away.
S: Light to moderate aromas of cardamon are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of lemony lactobacillus and hints of honey. There is a light to moderate amount of sourness.
M: It feels light-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This kvass is very easy to drink and has some refreshing properties. The cardamon and lemony flavors spiced things up a bit and kept this from being bland.

My first kvass, so I'm not really sure what to expect, even after reading the style notes. This was a bit of a gusher from the 750 mL bottle, smelling of freshly-baked bread even before managing to pour it to a glass. A light golden-straw color, cloudy, with less head than expected upon pouring, given the current state of my counter top. Bready, with significant lemon and hay notes. Grassy and tart. Light and refreshing, but with a moderately full body, unexpected given the low ABV.

Pours a hazy straw color with no head formation inside the glass (the bottle expelled that the moment it was opened and set free). Aroma is light lactic sour with honey, bread, cardamom and rye behind. Not much depth to the aroma. Flavor profile is bread, cardamom and light honey. It has a sour tinge to it that breaks up the bready flavor, making it really more of a bread-forward, prickly sour than a kvass. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a crisp, fizzy texture that nears on effervescent. Overall, lively sour culture mingles with bread making for one intriguing and light ABV beer.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 750mL bottle. Bottled in March of 2018 (Batch #2), and served and consumed in June of 2018. This bottle fizzed out of control for close to five minutes depleting the contents of the bottle by around 8oz.

It pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Head retention is low. It has some grainy aromas and tartness. It also has a moderate level of spiciness to it. It has a lot of different flavors to it which include grain and spice. There is a bit of lemon and honey in the background. The cardamon really enhances the overall flavor palate. It has moderately low tartness as well. It has a light feel to it with the tartness causing slight puckering. The spice and grain last long after the finish. Overall, a very flavorful beer in which the flavors are bold.

A: Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow in color with moderate to heavy amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense fizzy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering approximately 90% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of tart lacto lemon citrus + cereal grain malts and light amount of honey. Slightly stronger than light aromas of cardamon.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of cereal grain malts + wheat malts with a very light amount of honey sweetness. Light flavors of cardamon and moderate flavors of tart lacto lemon citrus. No perceptible hop presence and no bitterness. Slightly heavier than light amounts of tartness linger in the finish.

M: Light bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a slightly heavier than light amount of acidic prickliness.

O: Easy to drink with a low ABV and well hidden alcohol. Refreshing and quite enjoyable though a little different from the others beers in the style I have tried with the addition of cardamon and honey. Not surprising but this beer is a bit of a gusher like most of the other Fonta Flora bottle conditioned beers.
