Note: Fonta Flora lists this as a fruit beer even though it's made with saison yeast.

Look: It pours hazy dark plum with a pink head.

Smell: It has an aroma of blackberries that is the most dominant. There are some earthly notes with a grainy-doughy element. It also has a red wine like quality to it as well.

Taste: It has a blackberry flavor with doughy-grain in support. It has a low red wine like quality. The earthly flavor is very low.

Feel: It has a moderately light body with a very dry finish.

Overall, this is a flavorful beer based on blackberries with the other elements in support.

a fun beer, more blackberry here than i have ever known in a beer, at least visually, its cool they are canning now, but ultimately this isnt even close to as good as the wild saison types i have had from them, seems like a lower order base beer and just interesting because of all the fruit, but it tastes good, it looks unique, and it seems easier to get than some of their headiest beers. the color is absurd, almost comically pinkish purple colored, like play dough or something, thick too for what it is, not much head at all, and super murky for how bright the color is, it doesnt look anything like beer, but it does look intriguing. the beer is lightly tart from the blackberries, sweet from them too, with a much simpler yeast profile than i am used to from these guys, more of a french saison type than anything rustic or wild, subtle wine note from it are nice with the berries, and while this is thick to drink on, it tastes fresh on the fruit and pretty clean. its hard to appreciate angelica root in here, im not all that familiar with it anyway, and whatever it contributes here must be pretty subtle, no real distinctive element to this at all aside from the color. some jammy character to the berries, a density to the feel, not enough carbonation, but i like that the wheat base can be tasted and felt to much. in the end this is a mighty weird one, not really as good overall as i have gotten used to from these guys, but its cool they are canning now, and i have never seen a beer this color in all my life, so thats neat. drinking a whole can felt like a lot...

A: Pours an opaque milky reddish purple in color (think milky beet juice) with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate garnet red + rose + deep purple colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy foamy pink head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of slightly sweet, slightly tart fresh blackberries and light to moderate aromas of slightly spicy/peppery saison yeast and hints of pale malts with minimal amounts of sweetness.

T: Upfront there is a light flavor of pale malts + wheat malts with a minimal amount of sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of slightly spicy/peppery saison yeast. Finally there is a slightly stronger than moderate flavors of slightly sweet, slightly tart fresh blackberries. Minimal amounts of bitterness and no discernible hops. Lingering slightly sweet, slightly tart fresh blackberry flavors.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with slightly less than moderate amounts of carbonation. Lightly chalky.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable though I feel like the angelica root gets slightly lost in the saison yeast flavors/aromas. Blackberries work really well in this beer.
