Appearance: Pours the color of black raspberry juice with a a very thin purple head that fades to a collar; splashy lacing
Smell: Funky tart watermelon rind with the black raspberry underneath; oaky
Taste: Tart watermelon rind flavors forward with the black raspberry adding another dimension; funky and oaky, through the middle, with a moderately tart finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; some pucker
Overall: I have yet to find a watermelon beer I have really enjoyed so I approached this one with some hesitancy; it's good for what it is and I recall some buzz about this one being the best of the series when they were released last year; it is my least favorite of the four but I can see why the originality of the blend received so many accolades
