Double dry hopped Double India Kvass Ale
Appearance: Arrives relatively clear and amber colored; the modest head leaves some spotty lace
Smell: Tropical tones of papaya, lychee and passionfruit merge with powerful sour rye influences
Taste: The sour rye tones of the kvass dominate from start to finish; underneath, there is a sturdy malt bill that brings a hint of sweet sugar cookie; the hops are more subtle, with the tropical fruit lingering into the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation
Overall: Quite an interesting beer but I didn’t love the integration of the kvass with the DIPA elements
