Bright gold with a finger of foam, fades to a thin broken skim.
Whiff of smoke and bandaids initially, the smoke tapers eventually but is still fairly intense. Dill and sesame don’t really come through distinctly, but it does have a nice savory quality to it.
Smoke dominates the taste, savory herbals, minor Brett. Medium crisp acidity, lacto, tangy lemon. Carb seems to ebb away fairly quickly.
Really interesting concept, and it sounds great on paper, at least to a smoke freak like myself. Could use a little more spritz and a meatier smoke. Not bad though, it’s more like a funkier herbal Lichtenhainer than a Kvass.
Thanks to Eugene for this one!
