I’m either going to love or hate this beer. The can says oysters are commonly used on the British Isles for stouts. Fonta Flora wanted to try it with a Pilsner and see how it worked. I can smell the oysters in the aroma. But it’s not overly powering which is nice. Flavor. Damn you can actually taste the oysters. How they got this so perfectly balanced is a miracle. Can taste the oysters but they are not overpowering. That had to be hard to do. Interesting take on a Pilsner and in this case it works.

Thanks to mbgreg for this. Received in NBS BIF #15.
Basically this is a light, crisp pilsner. The can states this regarding the oysters, "Adding layers of mineralogy and briney texture..."
I am not really picking up any of these characteristics. Like I said, it's a decent pilsner. Perhaps in an attempt to avoid overwhelming the smooth base, they underplayed their hand.
