Canned ~10/2018
Pours a murky, opaque brownish orange with a towering 2 fingers of off-white foam; great retention and plenty of sticky lacing to line the glass.
Aromas of sharp hibiscus, blood orange, and subtle undertones of dank, lightly creamy hops that develop nicely as the bouquet lingers.
Taste shows the hibiscus integrating with the hops excellently, imparting a sharp florality to the creamy, herbal resin of the hops; also getting notes of grapefruit zest, bits of pine, and underripe peach.
Mouthfeel has a medium body with nicely integrated carbonation; smooth and creamy overall, and even as the carbonation gets somewhat aggressive toward the finish, it remains pretty juicy.
Another solid NEIPA from Proclamation; really enjoying the hibiscus integration alongside the hops especially. Smooth, creamy, easy-drinking 7.4%. A bit more consistency and refinement throughout and this could be something truly excellent.

A strong pour from a pint can (purchased from the brewery) into a 20-oz. mug was needed to get a skinny finger of soapy off white head with streaky lacing. Quickly shrinks to a cap.
Turbid, opaque yellow/straw color, appears light straw in front of light.
Smells of pineapple/orange juice, wheat and fresh herbal/piney hops.
Taste starts semi-sweet, juicy and biscuity (Wheat Thins) from the malt with an abundant hop bite. The middle is thinned out by the surprising level of carbonation yet the juicy semi-sweet flavor continues. Malt and hops return at the end for a semi-dry bitter finish.
Medium bodied, high CO2 (A little too high?),
After I had poured out the 1st beer I realized there was a lot of sediment at the bottom of the can. The next time I poured one I poured most of the beer then gave it a swish, then finished pouring. No info on the can except "Drink Fresh. Unfiltered and may contain sediment". They are right. This should be in the NE IPA category.
This beer gets the B+ grade, so much sediment, and a little over carbonated for the A.
