Man, I kinda forgot about some of the beers I had from my latest trip to Proc, but this one sounds perfect for the weather. It’s a barrel aged version of their other Grisette, Mono > Stereo. It seems like an odd style to barrel age but let’s check it out
Pours a cloudy orange gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
Oh yeah, that’s funky in the nose, but it’s a clean funk, if that makes any sense. I’m picking up on aromas of lemon juice, sharp oak, earthy wheat, peppercorn, tannic white wine, apple skin, and honey
There’s a flash of funk in taste, but it still ends up leaving you with a rather clean beer. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon zest, bready malt, honey, white wine, and apple skin. The swallow brings notes of sharp oak, earthy wheat, coriander, leather, white wine, wildflower honey, and lemon juice
A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a refreshing yet slick beer. Finishes slightly sticky but the funk cleans it up
Man, this one is really good. It feels tight and clean while keeping a nice funky tang
