Collaboration with Japas Cervejaria. Saison with Elderberry.
Orange pink-ish in color, this saison has aromas of pepper and mixed berry. Flavor notes of blueberry give way to a nice dry, semi-tart finish. 6% abv.

Canned 9/13/22. “Cerveja“ stamped on the bottom of the can
It’s cool that Proclamation always has such a wide variety of styles available at any given time. I quite liked the last Saison I had from them, so I just had to pick this one up. Plus it’s a collab with Japas Cervejaria out of Brazil so that’s cool. Let’s dive in
Pours a cloudy pinkish orange with 3 fingers of pinkish white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing
The elderberry really comes through in the nose; this is both fruity and floral. I'm picking up on aromas of elderberry, wildflower honey, blueberry, wheat bread, white pepper, crackery malt, light grass, and lemon zest
It has more of a tart bite than I would've expected in taste but only up front, getting replaced by earthy notes after the swallow. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting tart blackberry, jammy blueberry, lemon juice, honey, white pepper, grassy hops, toast grain, and light wheat. The swallow brings notes of elderberry, floral hops, jasmine, earthy wheat, white pepper, light grass, and honey. In theory it sounds good but it is a bit strange
A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes dry and earthy with a fruity tartness creeping behind it
This one is a bit odd, but better than the sum of its parts I think. It's unique at the very least
