Pours a semi-hazy pale straw with a finger of foamy, white head; great retention and amount of lacing.
Aromas bursting with cracker, popcorn, soft herbal hops, and light bits of citrus and orange zest.
Taste brings vivid cracker intermingling with delicately dank herbal notes and a soft malt presence throughout; bready with some slight citrus peel and lime toward the finish.
Mouthfeel is well-carbed and pretty balanced; a mild dankness takes hold until the malt presence evens things out to a semi-crisp and nicely weighted finish.
Great notes of detailed cracker and malt in this one, and I’m also a fan of the light, albeit nontraditional, dank element here. A solid kölsch that can feel somewhat hefty for what it is, but is smooth in its flavor and pretty evened out overall.
