Notes: Collaboration with Parish Brewing Co.

The ghost is back. It's been 2 years hiatus since we dropped Space Ghost with our pals at Parish Brewing. 2 years is too long for such an awesome beer. We decided to bring this one back with a bang and give everyone a triple dry hopped version of this Galaxy driven imperial IPA with Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka.

Canned on 10/20/21; consumed on 11/10/21

Pours a milky, turbid, pale sunflower-gold body capped with a finger of lush, fluffy, white foam; solid head retention yields a dense half-finger of cap, moderate, frothy collar, and speckled curtains of lacing spread along the walls of the glass.

Aromas of guava sorbet upfront are enlivened by lime hard candy with a mossy undertone, peaking with grapefruit nectar and tentative malts over the middle of the bouquet as ripe peach, dehydrated apricot, dank basil, and tinges of waxy white grape bring a further potency to the back end.

Taste brings orange zest against sweeter red grapefruit to start, with boggy, tropical lychee guiding toward doughy malt undertones over the mid-palate and into the back end, where key lime and dank lemon accentuate a pungent twang on the finish.

Mouthfeel offers a medium-full body, a textural density cut by the moderate fluff of carbonation before a prickle eases over the mid-palate and a steady grit dispersed; mild hop acidity begins to peak on the back end, ultimately pivoting toward creaminess with a juicy pang into the finish.

With the cleaner, juicier aspects notably distinct from the grittier, mossy hop characteristics, the triple dry-hopping treatment, normally a step into excess, is modulated just enough to soften the onslaught of pointed fruit syrup tones in a salvaged sense of hoppy aggression.
