Appearance - Pours cloudy pinkish color with light fluffy white head that does not last very long but leaves a nice string of lacing all around the glass. Reminds me of pink lemonade.

Smell - Fresh strawberry with a hint of raspberry, fresh lemon. There is just a hint of funk.

Taste - I was really surprised at the amount of fresh strawberry and raspberry, very mild tartness. There is a nice balance between the sweetness and tartness both are perfect.

Feel - Really light and refreshing, great carbonation not too dry.

Overall - I have to say I am impressed at the fruit flavors and the tart/sweet balance. I also was not expecting the refreshing feel. This has such a fresh taste I was expecting to bite into a strawberry seed.

A: One of the most unique looking beers that I have seen. Has a vibrant pink color that you can’t help but notice from the second you pour it. It reminds me of a Pink mascot.

S: The smell matches the color perfectly; this beer is very aromatic. It has a strong presence of strawberries and raspberries.

T: Taste slightly tart and sour, like strawberries cider or wine. The tart taste is likely because of the raspberries. It is refreshing and goes down easily.

F: When left on the tongue it feels very carbonated, even spreading to the roof of the mouth and back of the throat. When swallowed, it is smooth and leaves a tart after taste.

O: Overall seed is refreshing, defiantly a summer time drink. Worth trading for if you want something that is unique.

Cans from the source on release day. Also had on tap at the release.

Pours pink and hazy, foamy pinkish head.

Aroma is super bright and fresh fruit. Strawberry comes through a bit stronger than the raspberries, but both are definitely present.

Flavor is like the aroma. Fresh fruit. Crisp, slightly tart. Strawberries and the raspberries are noticeable. Clean flavors, no cloying sweetness. Refreshing.

Mouth feel is light and crisp, refreshing. Moderate carbonation.

Was not sure what to think of this brew when I bought it. I was at the brewery on release day, but not on purpose for this release. Bought my allotment and have been happy. The freshness of the fruit flavor is the most memorable characteristic.

thanks gary, very much appreciate the regular Bissell ticks. I didn't even read the can before popping this son was surprised to get a light fruited brew. That said, this is very like a vitamin water or flavored seltzer since it has such a watery feel. the raspberries and strawberries however play nicely together and overall this is a nice refreshing fruit brew. not the kind of beer I would have more than one of, but a refreshing surprise.

On tap at brewery.

Beautiful pink red-orange and hazy. Head is thick and light pink tinged.

Aroma is of fresh fruit, most strawberry. Very appealing.

Feel is light and thin, almost like sparkling water. Unexpected given it's opacity.

Nothing dark whatsoever in the taste. Raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, and some citrusy aspects as well. Strong fruit but light overall. Minimal sweetness, which I liked, but a little bit lacking in flavor depth.

Draft at the source. Light pink body, moderate haze, soft light pinkish white head. Aromas of strawberry followed by raspberry. Fruity and dry. Light bodied with a mild prickle on the palate. Tasty.

From a 16oz can to snifter. Pours a faded red/strawberry color. Nose is light fruit, more strawberry than raspberry. Flavor is like a light strawberry soda. Not very sweet (which is good), kind of watery, moderate carb and not tart at all. Refreshing for the summer

This beer was not what I was expecting. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. A few of my friends did dislike it and gave me the remainder of their 4-packs. When poured, it very much resembled strawberry soda. The smell was very nice, with a dominant berry scent. If only more or that was present in the flavor... Unfortunately, I dare say the this beer felt almost too watered down. The flavor totally failed to deliver what the scent suggested would be there. The sensation was very much like expecting strawberry soda, but getting the flavor of a weak strawberry seltzer. All in all, though, not a bad thing to have around on a hot summer day in New England. ^ ^

Thanks to @JuliusTheCat for hooking this up via trade. Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip glass:

Appearance: One of the most unique looking beers I've ever drunk (drank?). Pours a vibrant, translucent red, with a frothy, pure white head. Not much in the way of lacing.

Aroma: Tons of fresh berries. I don't get any hop aroma from the smell, just strawberries and raspberries. The combo makes this brew smell kind of like Hawaiian Punch, as a matter of fact, but not in a bad way. Again, one of the most pungent and unique scents I've gotten in a beer.

Taste: First impression is fruit punch. Berries are the dominant taste here, and nice ripe berries at that. Not cloyingly sweet as I expected it to be. A twinge of sourness, but the berry flavor is soft and balanced with what tastes like pale malt. I got only a touch of bitterness and no dankness at all, just berry, fruit, and a backbone of light malt. Really delicious and fresh-tasting.

Feel: Soft to medium body with a lingering finish. Not overly carbonated, but light and refreshing.

Overall: A very odd, delightful little brew. It stands alone as one of the only beers with that much fruit and berries present without being sour that I've had. All sweetness and freshness, no mushiness or sourness. Pretty awesome.

Can from the 8/15 release poured into a HF wine stem. Pours a vibrant red, almost artificial. Small amount bubbles that disappear quickly. Despite being poured carefully, there's a ton of light colored floaties. I let them settle to the bottom for a few minutes. Nose is very fruity, raspberry but more fruit punch than anything. Cherries, Cranberries and maybe a bit of lemon too. Taste is fruity at first but it finishes weak and quickly. There's maybe a bit of citrus on the way out but it's mostly pale malts. Kind of a twang. Feel is extremely light. Goes down like water. I have mixed feelings about this beer. While I applaud the Bros for doing something out of their wheelhouse I was expecting more from this. The floaties and the $18 per 4-pack were a tad off putting. They definitely nailed their intent of fruity summer crusher though.

For some reason, I was expecting another berry-infused, berliner weisse styled beer and Seed is not that, at all. It is a dry, wispy, essence-of-fruit brew with a subtle hops presence that is about as fresh and thirst-quenching as any beer could be. This will not be a hit with the mainstream, more-flavor-is-better craft beer types but I think it is remarkable. Pours with a nice reddish tint. Light, short-lived head. Wonderful, subtle berry essence aroma. Light-bodied and goes down easily. Drink it!
