We crafted an ale with a half-ton of pesticide-free, Maine-grown strawberries and raspberries from our friends at the Bradbury Mountain Berry Farm in Pownal.

Appearance - Pours cloudy pinkish color with light fluffy white head that does not last very long but leaves a nice string of lacing all around the glass. Reminds me of pink lemonade.

Smell - Fresh strawberry with a hint of raspberry, fresh lemon. There is just a hint of funk.

Taste - I was really surprised at the amount of fresh strawberry and raspberry, very mild tartness. There is a nice balance between the sweetness and tartness both are perfect.

Feel - Really light and refreshing, great carbonation not too dry.

Overall - I have to say I am impressed at the fruit flavors and the tart/sweet balance. I also was not expecting the refreshing feel. This has such a fresh taste I was expecting to bite into a strawberry seed.

A: One of the most unique looking beers that I have seen. Has a vibrant pink color that you can’t help but notice from the second you pour it. It reminds me of a Pink mascot.

S: The smell matches the color perfectly; this beer is very aromatic. It has a strong presence of strawberries and raspberries.

T: Taste slightly tart and sour, like strawberries cider or wine. The tart taste is likely because of the raspberries. It is refreshing and goes down easily.

F: When left on the tongue it feels very carbonated, even spreading to the roof of the mouth and back of the throat. When swallowed, it is smooth and leaves a tart after taste.

O: Overall seed is refreshing, defiantly a summer time drink. Worth trading for if you want something that is unique.

Cans from the source on release day. Also had on tap at the release.

Pours pink and hazy, foamy pinkish head.

Aroma is super bright and fresh fruit. Strawberry comes through a bit stronger than the raspberries, but both are definitely present.

Flavor is like the aroma. Fresh fruit. Crisp, slightly tart. Strawberries and the raspberries are noticeable. Clean flavors, no cloying sweetness. Refreshing.

Mouth feel is light and crisp, refreshing. Moderate carbonation.

Was not sure what to think of this brew when I bought it. I was at the brewery on release day, but not on purpose for this release. Bought my allotment and have been happy. The freshness of the fruit flavor is the most memorable characteristic.
