Can from the brewery during the 2020 COVID pause. Pours a hazy light gold with an active and bubbly white head that dissipates, smell is spicy/peppery grass and caramel malts, hints of sour green grapes and green apple flesh, taste is spicy melon rind, apple skins, hints of candy/caramel sweetness, finishes with a funky/sour mildly bitter grass/hay note that lingers, this beer is medium bodied and pleasantly effervescent. A refreshing saison with spicy and fruity character.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high bright white head that died down, but consistently left a shirt head covering the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of coriander spices and rice are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of coriander spices along with notes of pilsener malts and rice along with some hints of melons in the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation and touches of dryness in the finish.
O: This is an interesting saison—the use of rice lends some of the flavors that you get from a Japanese Rice Lager and lightens up the body a bit.

750 ml bottle was poured into a snifter.
Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a golden straw yellow with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Spotty lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Funk, vanilla, apple, pear, black pepper, yeasty, esters, toasted, and pale malts.
Taste: Funky, tart, vanilla, peppery, vanilla, apple, pear, yeasty esters, toasted, bready, and pale malts. Light bitterness, a little dry, and some chewy notes in the rear.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, crisp, tart, funky, a bit dry, medium to high carbonation, and light bitterness.
Overall: Not sure if this is supposed to a bit funky like the rest of their beers, but I like it that way. A nice funky saison.

Pours a hazy deep gold. Voluminous white head is slow to die down. Lots of lemon, touch of black pepper and honey in the nose. Well balanced between the esters and phenols.
Taste is similar with a fruity lemon citrus flavor complemented by black pepper. A hint of the melon and tropical flavor peek through, but their impact is minimal. Extremely light bodied. Effervescent and lively carbonation. Well balanced version of the saison style. Nothing sticks out, which makes it very pleasant. Wish it was available in a smaller format than 750mL.

Poured a light copper color ( cider) with a 2 finger head in a Pretty Things Glass.
The aroma is not intense but quite good: citrus, especially lemon, earthy.
Taste: citrus- not overprnounced like many Saisons. I didn't get the notes of pear in this tasting- mostly lemon. Earthy.
Mouth feel/Finish: the body is very light, lighter than most Saisons. I really like this, and this quality makes the beer easy to drink. Also, the finish is only moderately hoppy, another plus. One of the issues with some Saisons is that the taste/finish are not in sync. The carbonation overdone. Too hoppy, over pronounced flavor. Not this beer. It is a delight to drink.
