An interesting classification and naming system developed by these guys. It took me a while to make sure this was a new brew to BA... but a check with UnTappd confirmed.

I made a very good find at The Beer Table in the Graybar Passage at Grand Central Station. Refreshing. A creative adaptation. And it cut through the grease of the Stromboli I had in the Terminal's Food Hall.

While S10 Looked average in a plastic glass, I enjoyed its blending the Smells of the malts, spruce and hops (only 15 IBU.) This is how I like my pine resin. A good contribution to the ever-changing world of the saison.

My first from Transmitter, I quickly reviewed their website and discovered two things. First, they have no taproom; which offers up a different model than most micros. But they've been around for seven years, so don't argue with success.

Second, they are dedicated to innovating styles within non-extreme ranges and taking risks. All of which produces, I'm guessing, some interesting ales. But I hope I don't have to just guess and hope to have Transmitter again when I return to the Big Apple.

Big soapy white head and a cloudy pale straw gold color. Nice lacing.

Nose is pale malt and lots of bready yeast. Floral hops with a light and bright pine from the spruce tips. A lemony edge with a hint of banana and Belgian funk.

Taste is just what you'd expect of you can imagine working in the fields of France in the 1700s. Hot, sweaty deeply thirsty. Take the light, bready malt, mild yeast and gentle piney hops, you have a lightly sweet, crisply dry beer with a clean short finish. Light hops lingering with a mild yeasty dough.

Light crisp body combined with mild, bubbly cartoons makes for a great feel. Thirst quenching and satisfying.

This is a top tier session and lawn mower beer. At 4% you can indulge without fear. With this flavor you're going to want quite a few.
